From scratch — or finished for you
Made for the bed it will live on.
Heirloom quilts pieced from scratch — Double Wedding Rings, Westerfields, cribs, laps, and full-size quilts in three construction series. Plus longarm finishing for tops you've already pieced.

Look at the back
A pattern
beneath the pattern.
Once a quilt top is pieced, three layers — top, batting, backing — need to be stitched together. On a longarm machine, those connecting stitches become their own kind of art.
Where most quilters use a plain grid, Kathy designs the quilting pattern to match the quilt itself: soccer balls behind a soccer quilt, baseball seams behind a softball quilt, gentle pebbles behind a school-spirit quilt. The front tells the story; the back tells you who made it.
Four commissions, four signaturesTap any to see the pattern
№ 01
A school soccer quilt, the back patterned in soccer balls, royal blue on royal blue.
№ 02
A softball quilt, backed in baseball seams. The stitch follows the sport.
№ 03
A nautical commission, a navy textured backing, with the embroidered label tucked into the corner.
№ 04
A school-spirit quilt, pebble-stitched on the back, calmer than the front it carries.
“The front is the story. The back is the signature.”
The shapes a commission takes
From the small to the lifetime.
Custom work falls into a handful of familiar shapes. Most projects begin in one of these and grow into something only your family will recognize.
Bedded heirloom
Twin through California King.
Three construction series — comforter weight, premium, and top tier — each pieced to your bed and your color story. The everyday quilt that becomes a family record.
Double Wedding Ring
A labor-intensive heirloom.
The pattern most often commissioned for fiftieth anniversaries and family-legacy gifts. Hand-pieced rings of interlocking color. Allow extra production time.
Lap & crib
Small, soft, made to be held.
Baby quilts, large laps for the reading chair, small laps for the recliner. Often a first commission — a way to know how Kathy works before a bigger piece.
Westerfield
25+ ties, 60"×60".
A sunburst pattern for necktie quilts. The Westerfield is one of Kathy's most-requested layouts — a structured way to hold a lifetime of ties.
For piecers
Bring us your top,
we'll finish the quilt.
If you've already pieced a quilt top, Kathy will quilt the three layers on the longarm frame — edge-to-edge or custom — and bind the finished piece by machine or by hand.
Longarm and binding are priced by the square inch and linear inch respectively, so the quote depends on the finished dimensions and the design density. Send the measurements and a photo of the top when you start the project; we'll write back within forty-eight hours.
